The Rebel News reporter David Menzies was arrested on Sept 2, 2020, while pursuing a course of investigation involving Mayor Patrick Brown of Brampton, Ontario. The Canadian Charter of Rights and Freedoms apparently DOES NOT APPLY equally in Brampton, a fact that should concern every one of its nearly 600 000 residents who voted to elect Mayor Patrick Brown. These same residents currently are unable to enjoy the Earnscliffe Recreation Centre of the Peel Region under Wuhan virus social distancing, while Mayor Brown has reportedly been using the facilities for his own private Hockey practice.

Are we losing our rights to practice journalism in Canada? How about the right to access public property? During this era of Covid-19 bylaw enforcement, the residents of Brampton have been issued 1,354 warnings and filed 597 charges against its Citizens for violating the social distancing bylaw policies of its City as of the end of July. (Rebel News Article by David Menzies - https://www.rebelnews.com/brampton_ontario_mayor_patrick_brown_caught_breaking_pandemic_rules_closed_hockey_arena). Violations of the cities bylaw are resulting in $880 fine for its citizens, while Mayor Brown is enjoying a private arena for his hockey practices. The Earnscliffe Recreation Center is currently disallowing public hockey practice on ice which costs $1000 per day to maintain.
All this begs the question? How are Mayor Brown and his hockey associates maintaining their social distancing while playing hockey?
